Job summary

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield offers a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns participate in development workshops, are mentored by managers, and work on meaningful projects across several tracks including Business Administration, IT, Analytics, Finance, and more.

Interns gain hands-on experience, network with leadership, and develop professionally through structured workshops and real-world assignments in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Desired majors include Paralegal, Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Law/Pre-Law) or similar programs.
• Preferred (but not required) experience with detail orientation and analytical skills; ERISA knowledge is a plus.
• Must be in good academic standing and enrolled full-time in college/university.

Responsibilities

• Employer group contract work.
• Works with a mentor and supports key strategic projects.
• Completes work assignments based on business needs and priorities.
• Performs a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks across business projects.
• Creates and delivers presentations upon internship completion.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy per policy.
