Job summary

First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) is seeking Technology Interns for Summer 2027 (May–August). The program is designed for students attending Nebraska universities who reside in the Omaha, NE area for the duration of the internship.

Interns will be onsite weekly in Omaha, mentored by IT leaders and connected with peers across the bank. Top performers may be invited to join FNBO’s Technology Cohort Program for extended learning and career development.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; rising sophomores, juniors and seniors encouraged to apply.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in learning programming concepts (prior experience a plus, but not required).
• Ability to be onsite weekly and attend scheduled summer events.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with IT professionals on real projects that impact customers.
• Contribute as a member of an agile scrum team.
• Apply programming practices and FNBO development standards.
• Support modernization efforts and test process improvements.
