Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year school pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, Instrumentation Technology, Mechatronic Technology, or similar disciplines.
• Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Must have an anticipated graduation date of Fall 2027 or later.
• Weight restriction of 290 pounds applies due to equipment limits.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret electrical design drawings.
• Assist with infrared scans and basic instrument checkout and repair.
• Participate in high‑voltage diagnostic testing and relay testing.
• Support functional testing of protection systems and control circuits.
• Shadow System Protection Technicians to gain insight into substation equipment and field operations.
