Job summary

Trex Company in Winchester, VA offers a Summer Internship for a Supply Chain Intern to support distribution activities and learn lean process improvements in a hands-on setting. You will gain exposure to multiple distribution areas and work closely with mentors.

You will rotate through shipping, inventory control, receiving, and kitting production, while analyzing data and creating process maps to identify efficiency gains for our operations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, or related fields.
• Upcoming junior or senior with GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Provide support related to distribution processes and projects including creation of process maps, time studies and lean-tool based improvements.
• Analyze and present data to identify areas of improvement within various distribution processes.
• Obtain hands-on experience by rotating through shipping, inventory control, receiving, and kitting production.
