Job summary

Trex Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Intern for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Winchester, VA. You’ll join a team driving EHS excellence and gain hands-on experience in health, safety and environmental program management within a complex manufacturing environment.

You will work on projects with meaningful impact, learn about EHS enterprise systems and data-driven solutions, participate in incident investigations, assist with JHA creation and reviews, and help update

Qualifications

Must be a rising Junior or Senior in a 4-year degree program.
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Be an integral member of a team that drives EHS excellence daily.
Gain hands-on experience in health, safety, and environmental program management in a manufacturing environment.
Complete projects with meaningful impact on EHS performance across the organization.
Learn about EHS enterprise systems and data-driven solutions.
Participate in incident investigations to identify hazards, verify corrections, and monitor control effectiveness.
Assist with creation and annual review of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
Assist with reviewing, creating, and updating EHS procedures, manuals, and supporting documents.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
