Job summary

KPFF Special Projects Group in Tacoma invites a Junior, Senior or Graduate student for a summer internship in the Tacoma Office. The internship is approximately 40 hours per week for up to 90 days, depending on the candidate's availability.

Our work focuses on heavy civil, transportation, and waterfront infrastructure across the West Coast and Pacific Northwest. You will assist a structural engineer with calculations, member sizing, detailing, plan production, review, and cost estimating, and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.
• Willingness to work on a variety of projects.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Interest in pursuing a structural engineering career after internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist a structural engineer with calculations, member sizing and detailing, documentation, plan production and review, and cost estimating.
• Assist with project site visits and comply with safety requirements on-site and in the office.
