Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Idaho Falls, ID is offering a Summer 2027 Structural Engineering Internship. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and oversight of structural systems while learning from experienced engineers.

This mentored program provides hands-on project research, documentation, cross-functional coordination, and exposure to budgets and client expectations, with opportunities to work on industrial, manufacturing, and MEP market projects.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design work for project discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with project research and finding resources related to project work.
• Support good client relations, project design notebook maintenance, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services as required by the contract services agreement.
