Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a Summer Camp support role for their Extended Learning and Community Schools (ELCS) Sports Summer Camp in Colorado. The position runs from June 3, 2026 to July 24, 2026, supporting students in grades 4–6 with sports instruction and camp planning.

The role emphasizes equity and inclusion, requires a Colorado address, and demands the ability to meet physical demands. Minimum high school diploma and 1+ sports instruction experience are required.

Qualifications

• Required 1+ sports instruction experience in the specified sport offering.
• Lead for racial and educational excellence and dismantling inequity in our community.
• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily instruction in assigned sports based on guidance from the Summer Instructor.
• Supports daily practice and camp plans.
• Promotes exceptional sportsmanship.
• Supports with pre and post skill development tests/evaluations.
• Ensures upkeep and working condition of all camp areas and equipment.
• Works with camp staff on student recruitment and retention.
• Provides support for day-to-day program operations as needed.
