Job summary

WoodmenLife is offering a 10-week Summer Internship in Social Media Marketing in Omaha, Nebraska. The role supports content development, campaign planning, audience engagement, and analytics.

Interns participate in leadership development, present a capstone project, and gain hands-on experience with brand storytelling and social strategy. We seek students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields, with strong writing, creativity, and data interpretation skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, Advertising, Digital Media, or related field.
• Strong written communication and content creation skills.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
• Ability to analyze information and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
• Experience creating or managing social media content for school, work, or extracurricular activities.
• Ability to craft clear prompts for generative AI tools such as Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Participates in internship activities and leadership development.
• Completes a capstone presentation highlighting project accomplishments and learnings.
• Researches social media trends, audience preferences, and industry best practices.
• Assists with content development, captions, visual asset selection, and campaign concepts.
• Supports planning and execution of social media campaigns.
• Monitors platforms and assists with community engagement and analytics tracking.
• Prepares reports and recommendations to support social media strategy.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Digital Media, or a related field
