Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with a 3.0+ GPA.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to present data clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in internship cohort activities and leadership opportunities.
  • Summarize and present capstone project highlights and learnings.
  • Assist with journey maps for customers and agents; document current and future state processes.
  • Analyze customer feedback, survey results, and Voice of Customer data.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Support project management activities including logs, plans, and tracking.
  • Research customer experience best practices and industry trends.
  • Assist with dashboards, scorecards, and executive reports.
  • Identify trends to improve customer and agent experiences.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and other teams.
  • Demonstrate responsible use of AI, bias mitigation, and data privacy.

Job Title: Customer Experience Intern – Summer 2027

WoodmenLife is looking for a Customer Experience Intern to join our team! Ready to make an impact this summer? WoodmenLife is seeking a Customer Experience Intern to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will support initiatives that help improve experiences for members, representatives, and associates across WoodmenLife. This role provides hands‑on exposure to customer insights, journey mapping, process improvement, project coordination, and business transformation efforts while partnering with teams across the organization to identify opportunities that enhance service, efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction.

Our 10‑week Summer Internship Program strives to foster a dynamic and innovative work environment by integrating interns who bring fresh perspectives and skills to our organization, contribute to value added work, and enhance our talent pipeline. We are looking for someone to:
  • Gains broad exposure to the WoodmenLife organization through internship cohort activities and leadership engagement opportunities.
  • Summarizes and presents a capstone presentation highlighting project accomplishments, skill development, and key learnings.
  • Assists with creation and maintenance of customer and agent journey maps.
  • Documents current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Analyzes customer feedback, survey results, complaint trends, and Voice of Customer data.
  • Demonstrated leadership through school, work, volunteer, or extracurricular activities.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Supports project management activities including action logs, project plans, deliverable tracking, and meeting documentation.
  • Conducts research on customer experience best practices, industry trends, and competitor insights.
  • Assists with development of dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and executive reports.
  • Identifies trends and opportunities that support customer and agent experience improvements.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Marketing, Business Technology, and Fraternal.
  • Demonstrates ability to leverage AI technologies to streamline workflows, promote fair and unbiased work practices, and coach teams on safe, ethical, and effective AI use.
  • Meets attendance and punctuality expectations in accordance with supervisor and WoodmenLife policy requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
We Need Someone Who Is:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Analytics, Communications, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and present data from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • The ability to craft clear, concise, and effective prompts to get accurate results from generative AI tools like Copilot.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered work tools (e.g., Copilot) for content creation, analysis, and productivity.
  • Understanding the responsible use of AI, including identifying and mitigating bias and ensuring data privacy and security.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive, and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service.
  • Passion for making an impact in local communities
