Job summary

WoodmenLife in Omaha is seeking an Investment Intern for Summer 2027 to support the Investment division with mortgage loan servicing data, credit profile development, and strategic analyses across planning and execution of projects.

The 10-week program offers mentorship, real-world experience, and exposure to institutional asset management at a not-for-profit insurer. This hybrid internship emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and community impact.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or higher required.
• Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate or related field.
• Ability to work 38.75 hours per week and communicate clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Bloomberg Terminal preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Customer service orientation and community focus.

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with Internship Cohort, executives and division leaders.
• Summarize and present capstone project on internship experience.
• Support Mortgage Loan Annual Servicing project by reviewing 500+ loans.
• Enter reviewed property performance data into mortgage servicing software.
• Assist Securities team with developing and maintaining credit profiles.
• Organize financial and issuer information used by investment professionals.
• Complete tasks within established timelines and raise questions as needed.
