Job summary

ESF Camps, in partnership with Hill School Summer Scholars, seeks a Dean of Academics to provide leadership for rising 7th–8th graders during the summer program. The role coordinates curriculum development, faculty recruitment, classroom operations, and academic quality in collaboration with Hill School faculty and ESF leadership.

The Dean serves as the primary academic liaison to the ESF Program Director, ensuring seamless integration of the academic program with residential/student life.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or academic leadership experience.
• Master’s degree in education, curriculum & instruction, educational leadership, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience with middle school students (grades 7-8) or enrichment programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development and faculty recruitment for Summer Scholars.
• Provide daily oversight of academic programming and instructional quality.
• Support faculty with classroom management and coaching.
• Coordinate scheduling, supply ordering, and event planning.
• Evaluate course effectiveness and gather feedback for improvements.
• Serve as liaison between Hill School faculty and ESF leadership.
