Job summary

Actalent offers a 10-week summer sales internship designed to grow the next generation of sales professionals across the United States and Canada. The program emphasizes hands-on experience in business development, client engagement, and recruiting lifecycles.

Interns will receive training, mentorship, and shadowing opportunities, with a focus on lead generation, account outreach, and relationship building. Compensation is $19.23 per hour for up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree as a rising Senior.
• Pursuing a sales degree, major or certification or member of a sales program on campus is preferred.
• Prior customer service, campus leadership, or sales experience is a plus.
• Strong interest in sales and business/client development.
• Competitive, motivated, and comfortable working toward activity goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking ability.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development (60%–70%): Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential clients.
• Support account executives with lead research, market mapping, and target list development.
• Learn to make sales calls, craft outreach messages, and nurture early-stage client relationships.
• Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and client materials.
• Participate in sales meetings, deal strategy sessions, and pipeline reviews.
• Shadow sales professionals on client calls or visits to understand the full sales cycle.
• Track activity metrics and provide weekly progress updates on outreach and lead generation efforts.
