Job summary

Clarkson Construction Company is seeking a Summer Intern to support the safety team on heavy civil projects in the Kansas City area. You will gain exposure to safety practices, regulatory compliance, and field operations while learning how safety is integrated into project execution.

You will assist with OSHA compliance, site inspections, and safety trainings, collaborating with project managers, supervisors, and crews to promote a culture of safety on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Participate in site walks, inspections, and safety audits.
• Support documentation of safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Help prepare and deliver safety toolbox talks and training sessions.
• Assist in reviewing and updating site safety plans.
• Learn and practice incident reporting and investigation processes.
• Observe safety certifications coordination and project team interactions.
