Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a motivated Program Development Intern to join the Program Development team for Summer 2027. The internship is on-site in Troy, MI or Austin, TX, running May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027, reporting to the Lead Program Development Manager.

You will gain hands-on experience in enterprise project management, process improvement, data analysis, and technology integration across large-scale real estate development initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree related to business operations, project management, or data analytics.
• Demonstrated coursework/projects in project management, process improvement, or data analytics.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective cross-team communication and collaboration.
• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project/Smartsheet/Asana) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tracking and updating project schedules, timelines, milestones, and portfolio activities.
• Support collection, organization, and maintenance of project documentation (notes, status reports, risk logs).
• Participate in meetings and document key discussion points; follow up on actions.
• Help develop and maintain project dashboards and portfolio reports.
• Gather, validate, and organize data related to project operations and performance.
• Support maintenance of business data and reporting systems.
• Conduct basic analysis of timelines, resources, and KPIs.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating findings.
