Z Modular in Troy, MI or Austin, TX is offering a Summer 2027 Program Development Internship from May 24 to August 13. You will gain hands-on experience in enterprise project management, process improvement, data analysis, and technology integration across large-scale real estate initiatives.

You will assist with schedules, documentation, dashboards, data management, and reporting, collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Smartsheet, or Asana is a plus.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

## **About the Role****Z Modular** is seeking a highly motivated **Program Development Intern** to join our Program Development team for Summer 2027. This on-site internship opportunity is available in **Troy, MI or Austin, TX**, and the official Zekelman internship program runs from **May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027**. Reporting directly to the Lead Program Development Manager, you will gain firsthand experience in enterprise project management, process improvement, data analysis, and technology integration across large-scale real estate development initiatives.Working alongside experienced leaders and cross-functional teams, you will support strategic projects by assisting with project coordination, business process improvement, data management, and reporting activities. This role offers meaningful exposure to organizational development, program management best practices, and enterprise-wide initiatives.The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, collaborative, and eager to learn. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students interested in project management, business operations, industrial engineering, process improvement, or data analytics to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. ## **What You'll Do*** Assist with tracking and updating project schedules, timelines, milestones, and portfolio activities.* Support the collection, organization, and maintenance of project documentation, including meeting notes, status reports, risk logs, and action item trackers.* Participate in project meetings, document key discussion points, and follow up on assigned action items.* Assist with the development and maintenance of project dashboards, portfolio reports, and tracking tools.* Gather, validate, and organize project, operational, and performance-related data.* Support efforts to maintain accurate business data and reporting systems.* Conduct basic analysis of project timelines, resource allocation, and key performance indicators.* Prepare reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document current-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.* Research industry best practices related to project management, process optimization, and reporting methodologies.* Assist with updating standard operating procedures, process documentation, and process libraries.* Support the evaluation and deployment of project management, reporting, and analytics tools.* Participate in user testing activities and assist with documenting system requirements and feedback.* Create user guides, process documentation, and training materials for new tools and processes.* Prepare presentations, visual reports, and project updates for leadership and stakeholders.* Draft communications, meeting summaries, and stakeholder updates.* Respond to requests for project documentation, data, reporting, and analysis support.* Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.* Perform other duties as assigned. ## **Who You Are**### **Required Qualifications*** Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.* Interested in project management, process improvement, business operations, or data analytics, demonstrated through coursework, projects, extracurricular activities, or previous internship experience.* Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.* Effective communicator who can collaborate across multiple teams and present information clearly.* Exposure to project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Asana is a plus.* Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.* Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to meaningful projects.* Experience with project management, reporting, or process mapping tools is a plus. ## **What You'll Get**Zekelman Industries offers a PAID internship experience with meaningful work, professional development, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
