Zekelman Industries is seeking a highly motivated Program Development Intern for Summer 2027. This on‑site role is available in Troy, MI or Austin, TX, May 24, 2027–Aug 13, 2027, reporting to the Lead Program Development Manager.

You will gain firsthand experience in enterprise project management, process improvement, data analytics, and technology integration. You will assist with schedules, documentation, dashboards, data validation, and reporting while collaborating with cross‑functional

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across multiple teams and present information clearly.
• Exposure to project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Asana is a plus.
• Familiarity with reporting/visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tracking and updating project schedules, timelines, milestones, and portfolio activities.
• Support collection, organization, and maintenance of project documentation.
• Participate in project meetings, document key discussion points, and follow up on actions.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards, portfolio reports, and tracking tools.
• Gather, validate, and organize project, operational, and performance data.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to document current‑state processes and identify improvements.
• Research industry best practices related to project management and reporting methodologies.
