Job summary

Superior Construction is seeking Project Engineer Interns for its Summer 2027 Internship Program. This role supports the project management team on subcontractor coordination, material tracking, document control, and progress reporting.

As an intern you will learn estimating, scheduling, project controls, and how to read construction plans while interacting with clients and team members in a heavy civil environment. The program runs for 12 weeks during the summer.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university and taking at least one class during the semester before participation.

Responsibilities

• Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management, document control (submittals, RFIs, and change orders), and progress reporting.
• Learn and perform project management functions of estimating, schedule planning, project controls, and project reporting.
• Understand and learn construction plans.
• Interact with clients, managers, and employees professionally.
