Job summary

Graycor is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to join our Summer Internship Program in Phoenix, AZ. You will work on a commercial construction project site, receiving hands-on training, mentoring, and ongoing coaching to develop core competencies.

As part of the internship, you will support the Project Manager and Superintendent, develop short-term schedules, maintain project documents, and assist with procurement and subcontractor coordination. Travel and lodging may be required.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in construction management, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must be able to travel extensively and reside at the project site for the summer internship.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with project control, safety, and quality programs.
• Develop and maintain critical path schedules and look-ahead planning using Lean Construction techniques.
• Maintain project documentation and coordinate with Owner, Architect, and Engineers for approvals.
• Support procurement of equipment and materials and track delivery timelines.
• Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance and resolve technical/contractual issues.
