Job summary

Cardinal Health’s Summer Internship Program in Lakeland, FL offers a 10-12 week paid internship for undergraduate students entering their senior year, with hands-on projects, mentoring, and leadership development.

As an Operations Intern, you’ll collaborate with site leaders, document improvements, and help manage daily warehouse operations while gaining exposure to healthcare and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Management, or related field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes.
• Document and present solutions to site leadership to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity.
• Assist and collaborate with leaders in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, and transportation.
• Assist in daily warehouse operations to increase productivity and flow.
• Analyze KPI data and design workflows to improve operational effectiveness.
• Develop reporting capabilities and data visualisation tools to analyze metrics.
• Participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work on the warehouse floor daily to observe, support, and improve processes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
