Job summary

Koch Fertilizer in Dodge City, Kansas is launching a Maintenance Technician Intern program for Summer 2027. This 12-week internship offers hands-on exposure to an industrial setting with no prior experience required, featuring a 4-day, 10-hour work week and opportunities to contribute to equipment reliability and plant performance.

Participants will learn maintenance best practices, assist with rotating and fixed equipment upkeep, and collaborate with engineers and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant degree, certificate, or workforce training program.
• Willing and able to meet all physical requirements for an industrial environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work with maintenance team to support equipment reliability and plant performance through preventive maintenance.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors.
• Support inspection and maintenance of fixed equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, boilers, and heaters.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations and reliability engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.
• Gain hands-on experience on projects representative of full-time maintenance work.
