Valdés Math Foundation in San Jose/Bay Area seeks an Office Assistant to support the Site Principal during the summer program. You will help manage attendance, support staff and communicate with parents, ensuring a smooth on-site operation.

The role emphasizes assisting teachers and students, maintaining records, answering inquiries, and providing a friendly, confidential, and professional presence throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Completed 10th-grade year before the start of the Valdés Math summer program.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision;
• Enthusiasm for working with students during the summer months.
• Respect the confidentiality of information regarding students.

Responsibilities

• Take attendance and keep routine records.
• Assure student understanding of classroom rules and procedures; assist students with questions and guidance.
• Tutor individual or small groups of students.
• Provide phone and clerical support to staff.
• Engage with parents and the public when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the site principal and/or program director.
