OSF HealthCare is offering a Summer Intern Program for nursing students to expand patient care knowledge under RN supervision. The intern will gain hands-on practice while maintaining accountability with assigned patients and the supervising RN partner.

Qualified applicants will have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, completed a clinical rotation, and be within one year of nursing program completion. BLS certification is required. This is an hourly internship position.

Qualifications

• Must have a GPA of at least 2.5.
• Must have completed a clinical rotation and be within one year of nursing program completion.
• Proficient with Windows, keyboarding, and basic computer tasks; quick to learn new apps.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association).
• Interpersonal skills to comfort patients and families; ability to communicate effectively.
• Analytical ability to prioritize workload.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform basic nursing procedures appropriate for the age of patients served.
• Assist with daily patient care activities as assigned.
