Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with one year or less until graduation.
• Completion of a Med Surg clinical rotation and Fundamentals/ Foundations of Nursing.
• Active BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• GPA of 3.0 or better with submission of transcript.
• Two Letters of Recommendation (one from a clinical instructor) and a Letter of Intent.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care under appropriate supervision.
• Support patient safety, comfort, and daily care activities.
• Observe and participate in clinical procedures as permitted by scope and training.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow Meritus policies and procedures.
