Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Seattle is seeking summer merchandising interns to join our dedicated buying teams. You will work closely with senior buyers, analyze customer needs, and contribute to department performance through a live project.

The 10-week program runs June 14–August 20 in Seattle, with housing provided for those living far from corporate offices. The role pays $25.00 per hour and offers a path toward full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Active college student enrolled in an accredited institution and graduating in 2026 or 2027
• Willing to commit to a full-time schedule
• Able to move to Seattle for the 10-week internship and relocate for possible full-time

Responsibilities

• Be assigned to a specific buying squad and participate as a member of the team
• Develop an understanding of customer needs, wants and expectations
• Be a student of the business for analysis and decision making to improve department performance
• Learn the role of an entry level merchant by working with expert buying teams
• Work on an independent impact project to present to buying and leadership teams
• Attend executive speaker events with opportunities to ask questions
