Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a summer Merchandising Intern in Seattle who is highly motivated and curious. As a Merchandising Intern, you’ll be a student and a valued team member, assigned to a buying squad to learn how to meet customer needs, analyze data, and support department performance. The 2027 program runs 10 weeks (June 14–Aug 20) in Seattle.

Housing is provided for distant applicants. Interviews are in November 2026 with decisions by January 2027. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an active college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field.
• Graduating in 2027 or 2028.
• Willing to relocate to Seattle for the 10-week summer internship and potential full-time opportunity after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Be assigned to a specific buying squad and participate as a team member.
• Develop understanding of customer needs, wants and expectations.
• Learn the role of an entry-level merchant by working with expert buying teams.
• Work on an independent impact project to present to leadership teams.
• Attend executive speaker events with opportunities to ask questions.
