Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Minneapolis, MN office. This full‑time internship is for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, part of the 12‑week Summer Internship Program starting May 17, 2027.

You'll support project research, basic mechanical engineering tasks, field work, and preliminary design calculations, while gaining mentorship from senior staff and exposure to real projects in the Property & Buildings Team.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering program with expected graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Interest in Mechanical Engineering and willingness to learn on real projects.
• Ability to take direction from mentors and communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Collect and maintain project documentation and reports.
• Learn basic principles of Mechanical Engineering through hands-on tasks.
• Adhere to safety policies and company code of conduct.
