Job summary

Bechtel Corporation invites applications for a Mechanical Engineering internship in the United States. This 10-week summer program runs mid-June through mid-August, offering hands-on experience on Bechtel projects across various locations.

Interns work with industry professionals, gain exposure to project lifecycle, and develop technical and professional skills, with opportunities to contribute to real assignments and presentations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering.
• Eligibility to work in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Willingness to relocate and travel to domestic and/or international project sites.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in selecting and specifying equipment.
• Prepare flow and piping/ instrumentation diagrams.
• Perform system and equipment sizing calculations.
• Establish facility design requirements and develop the system safety basis.
• Review supplier designs.
• Prepare ventilation and instrumentation diagrams.
• Perform corrosion and erosion evaluations for systems and equipment.
