Job summary

Bechtel Corporation invites Industrial/Systems Engineering interns to join a structured 10-week summer program across multiple U.S. locations. You will work with multidisciplinary engineers on projects from design through commissioning, gaining hands-on experience and professional development.

Interns are integrated into teams, contribute to real objectives, and receive mentorship, networking, and end-of-program presentations to explore future opportunities with Bechtel.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year BS degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.
• Completed at least one year of undergrad studies in one of the above fields.
• Ability to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in developing functional/system analysis to define facility/system design requirements.
• Assisting in establishing verification means for requirements implementation and acceptance criteria.
• Assisting in preparing system and facility design criteria documents.
• Supporting system-level design verification, requirements verification, and traceability.
• Assisting in preparing assessments to validate implementation and traceability of requirements into design.
• Participating in technical discussions to resolve system design issues.
• Researching and documenting system operations and limits from design basis documents and discussions with system designers.
• Performing model-based systems engineering using COTS tools like IBM DOORS or Innoslate.
