Job summary

Plainfield Public School K-8 Summer Learning is seeking an experienced Summer School Lead to support the planning and launch of our summer school program. The Lead will help recruit students, take part in hiring summer school teachers, and make sure students are enrolled before the program begins.

This role requires coordinating with families, schools, and community partners, monitoring enrollment, and reporting monthly updates to program leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of lead experience in an afterschool, summer, or youth program.
• Experience working with students and families.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to evaluate candidates fairly as part of an interview panel.
• Reliable and able to meet monthly time commitments.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students for the summer school program through outreach to families, schools, and community partners.
• Serve on the interview panel for summer school teacher candidates.
• Monitor enrollment and ensure students are signed up and registration is complete.
• Follow up with families to resolve incomplete or pending registrations.
• Share enrollment updates with program leadership each month.
