Job summary

Para Los Niños in Los Angeles is seeking a Temporary Lead Teacher for the Expanded Learning program. You will help plan, develop, and coordinate after-school and intersession programming under the Area Supervisor, supporting staff, students, and families.

The role requires a strong commitment to PLN’s mission, bilingual English/Spanish abilities, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel and Zoom, along with DRDP knowledge. This is a temporary, school-based position ending January 2027.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or 60 units from a college or university.
• For Charter Elementary School Program: must meet additional requirements and possess a current Child Development Teacher permit, plus 2 years of Associate Teacher experience.
• Knowledge of DRDP implementation.

Responsibilities

• Support daily expanded learning programming including after school and intersession activities.
• Mentor and supervise Associate Teachers and coordinate with the Area Supervisor.
• Observe classrooms and provide feedback per DRDP processes.
• Meet with staff weekly to review announcements, schedules and updates.
• Maintain student files and assist with attendance and program reporting.
