Job summary

First National Bank (FNBO) is seeking a Bilingual Careers Internships & Trainee Program participant to support the Information Security and Technology Compliance team. You will conduct legal and regulatory research, draft memoranda, and assist with governance documents.

This role favors law students with strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Hybrid work schedule: three days in person, two days remote, with opportunities to learn about OCC, GLBA, PCI-DSS, and AI regulatory

Qualifications

• Completion of one year of law school or in the second semester of law school
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive information
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Capacity to interact with legal, compliance, technology, and business stakeholders
• Knowledge of research platforms and aptitude to learn new applications

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal and regulatory research and draft memoranda on information security, governance, and risk management topics within financial services
• Research and monitor federal/state laws, regulations, and guidance (OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, PCI-DSS, AI regs)
• Review contracts, laws and guidance related to information security and technology
• Assist with developing and maintaining security policies, standards, and governance docs
• Support governance reporting materials and risk reporting
• Provide general support to Technology Compliance team on research and risk activities
• Hybrid work: in-person 3 days/week, remote 2 days/week
