Job summary

First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) is seeking a current law student to join the Information Security and Technology Compliance team in a legal research and governance support role.

You will research federal and state banking regulations, review contracts and policy documents, and assist with governance reporting while gaining exposure to cybersecurity and regulatory compliance in a financial services context. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site and remote days.

• Interest in cybersecurity law, regulatory compliance, or information security and technology governance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and draft memoranda on topics related to information security and technology governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management within the financial services industry.
• Research and monitor federal and state laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance impacting information security and technology operations, including OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, PCI-DSS, and emerging AI regulations.
• Review and interpret contracts, laws, regulations, and other guidance relating to information security and technology.
• Assist with development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and governance documentation.
• Support preparation of governance reporting materials including regulatory landscape summaries and risk reporting.
• Provide general support to the Technology Compliance team across compliance research and risk management activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
