Job summary

First National Bank is seeking a Technology System Analyst Intern to support and enhance banking applications for retail and business customers. You will learn from experienced analysts and engineers, contributing to regulatory compliance and customer experience in financial services.

The internship offers hands-on experience in a secure, regulated environment with opportunities to work across consumer and commercial banking technology teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/business information systems or related field.
• Interest in financial services, FinTech and technology.
• Basic understanding of software applications lifecycle management and data concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a regulated environment with data privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in documenting application workflows, system requirements and architecture for banking platforms.
• Shadow season analysts during application testing, configuration, and deployment.
• Help monitor application performance and report issues to the support team.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to technology improvement discussions.
• Support data gathering and analysis for small projects or enhancements.
• Learn and apply basic troubleshooting techniques under supervision.
• Contribute to documentation efforts including use cases and training materials.
