Job summary

Ovintiv offers a comprehensive summer internship designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and real-world experience. As an intern you will work closely with an experienced mentor, be assigned a project, and contribute to Ovintiv through learning opportunities and meaningful work.

Interns will engage with land, engineering, geology, marketing and accounting teams on regulatory and business processes, with projects ranging from lease analysis to permitting support.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the Country of placement without sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled as a full‑time student through December 2027.
• Must be available May 17–August 5, 2027.
• Enrollment in Energy and Professional Land Management or equivalent program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross‑discipline teams on land base development, land sales, acquisitions and contractual arrangements.
• Assist with regulatory issues such as well spacing, well permitting and the legislative process.
• Research competitor ownership of surrounding leases and communicate regulatory impacts to the organization.
