Job summary

CIBC’s Summer Internship Program is a dynamic, 10-week experience (June–August) with the opportunity to continue part-time during the academic year. As an Investment Communications Intern, you will support the U.S.

Private Wealth Investment Team across communications, reporting, and research, gaining exposure to how investment insights are turned into client materials. You’ll work with professionals across Investment, Performance, Marketing, and Compliance teams while building practical

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3.2 GPA minimum.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with PowerPoint formatting, Excel-based reporting, or business writing is a plus.
• Experience with Bloomberg or FactSet is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarter-end performance reporting and coordinate deliverables across multiple teams.
• Support the drafting, editing and updating of internal and external investment materials, including market commentaries, reports, presentations, and product-related content.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and investment themes to support communication projects.
• Create charts, graphs, tables, and other visuals for presentations and written materials.
• Help with product due diligence questionnaires, including drafting responses, tracking requests, and coordinating submissions.
• Maintain and organize content on SharePoint and Seismic sales enablement platform.
• Help track deadlines and key milestones on the team’s shared Investment Communications calendar.
• Provide general project support for investment-related initiatives, including document formatting, content review and quality control.
