Job summary

Merck invites driven students to participate in a 10–12 week Future Talent Program summer internship in the Pharmaceutical Analysis & Digital Technology (PADT) and Large Molecule Analytical (LMA) divisions. Interns will collaborate in state-of-the-art laboratories at Rahway, NJ and other sites to develop analytical methodologies for drug substances and products.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline.
• Available to work full-time for 10-12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2027.
• Completed at least 2 years of study toward a bachelor's degree by June 2027.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in a team environment to develop novel analytical methodologies for drug substance and drug product development.
• Engage in core instrumentation and analytical method development for small molecules, biologics, and/or vaccines.
• Present research results orally and in written formats; participate in departmental meetings and project teams.
