Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks cooperative education participants for a 4–6 month program in analytical sciences, partnering in the Pharmaceutical Analysis and Digital Technology (PADT) and Large Molecule Analytical (LMA) divisions.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline.
Available to work full‑time for 4–6 months beginning in early to mid‑2027.
Completed at least 2 years of studies toward a bachelor's degree by June 2027.
GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories to develop analytical methodologies for drug substance and drug product development.
Collaborate in a team environment to solve key challenges in product and process characterization.
Record accurate electronic notebook details and analyze data for internal or external publications.
