Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Software Developer Intern at our Warrendale, PA facility for the summer 2027. You will collaborate with senior developers to improve I&C engineering tools, gather requirements, implement code changes, test, and document features.

You will report to the Supervisor GIC Tools & Applications and work in a paid full-time hybrid role from May to August 2027. This internship emphasizes safety culture and teamwork within a global nuclear energy environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.

About the role:

As a Software Developer Intern, you will work with a team of software developers supporting engineering applications in the Westinghouse Instrumentation & Controls organization. As part of this team, you will collaborate with senior developers in making improvements to enhance the usability of I&C engineering tools. This effort will include gathering requirements, implementing code changes, testing, and documenting tool features.

You will report to the Supervisor GIC Tools & Applications and be located at our Warrendale, PA facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
