Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Warrendale, PA is seeking a System Test Engineering intern to assist in testing, verification, and documentation of Instrumentation & Control systems. The role is a paid full-time onsite summer internship from May to August 2027, reporting to the System Testing Manager.

The intern will support prototype PCB testing, develop test tools, troubleshoot issues, and help produce test documentation as part of a collaborative engineering team.

About the role:

As a System Test Engineering intern, you will work with a team of engineers to support test procedures, testing, and test reports that validate I&C systems. You will also help develop and improve test methods, systems and tools related to testing, system verification and validation, and quality assurance. While supporting the test team you will identify hardware, design, and software issues and complete troubleshooting on an integrated I&C system.

You will report to the System Testing Manager and be located at our Warrendale, PA facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support prototype testing for new PCB designs
• Support development of test tools used for testing Instrumentation and Control systems for new plant and upgrade projects
• Support creation of documentation for test activities
• Support resolution of technical issues after performing troubleshooting
• Support development of test procedures and other test documentation

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Completed Sophomore year of college
