Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Civil/Structural Engineering intern to assist with engineering design documents, digital models, and CAD deliverables under supervision. You will create CAD drawings using AutoCAD and Revit and work closely with project engineers to grasp project scope and data requirements.

Responsibilities include producing final documents for review, ensuring cross-discipline coordination, and resolving production issues while contributing to 3D models and digital design assets.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in civil/structural engineering with at least two years completed.
• Internship/co-op experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate engineering design documents, digital models, and databases.

Job description

• Generate engineering design documents, digital models, and databases under the direction of the discipline Manager and/or project engineer
• Create engineering documents using CAD technology with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Work closely with engineers during project design phases to understand project scope, information, design data needs, and guidelines
• Provide limited design and detailed design documents with input from engineers
• Correct and produce final documents for engineer review
• Check integration of sections and coordination of disciplines
• Resolve document coordination and production problems with engineers
• Reproduce documents upon request
• Produce drawings and digital design models in 3D software applications as needed
• Perform team-oriented problem solving
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in civil / structural engineering at an accredited university
• Students should have completed at least 2 years of classes
• Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus
• Working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Capable of taking initiative and able to take direction
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
