Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, invites applications for an Intern, R&D Graduate Summer in Resilient Embedded Systems. The role supports design, development, and testing of embedded computing systems, including hardware, firmware, and software, with lab-based work onsite.

You'll develop software for modern SoCs, firmware for FPGAs, and assist engineers in debugging SW/FW/HW, interfacing sensors with PCBs, and testing navigation-enabled embedded solutions.

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree
• Currently enrolled full time in spring term preceding internship or graduating in spring
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
• Ability to secure U.S. citizenship and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software targeting processors on modern SoCs
• Develop firmware targeting FPGAs on modern SoCs
• Assist engineers debugging SW/FW/HW in the lab
• Interface navigation sensors with custom PCBs
• Test embedded computing solutions for navigation in lab and field tests
