Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Summer Intern to design, develop, and test embedded computing systems, including hardware, firmware and software. You will work onsite and contribute to navigation-related testing and lab-based debugging with modern SoCs and FPGAs.

Requirements include earned bachelor’s degree, full-time spring enrollment or graduation in a related field, GPA 3.0/4.0, and U.S. citizenship with ability to secure a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science, engineering or math field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 and full-time spring enrollment or imminent graduation.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for processors on modern SoCs.
• Develop firmware for FPGAs on modern SoCs.
• Support engineers debugging SW/FW/HW in the lab.
• Interface navigation sensors with custom PCBs.
• Test embedded computing solutions for navigation on vehicle and flight tests.
