Job summary

Merck is offering a Summer Internship in our Pharmaceutical Analysis & Digital Technology (PADT) and Large Molecule Analytical (LMA) departments across multiple locations, including Boston, MA. Interns will participate in 10-12 week projects, develop analytical methodologies, and experience drug substance/product development in a team setting.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline.
Must be available to work full-time for 10-12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027.
Completed at least 2 years of study toward a bachelor’s degree by June 2027.

Responsibilities

Work on key analytical projects within PADT and LMA to support drug substance/product development.
Record experimental details in electronic notebooks and analyze data for internal/external publications.
Present research results orally and in writing.
Collaborate in multi-functional teams to solve analytical challenges.
