Job summary

Moderna is offering a summer internship in Norwood, MA from June 7, 2027 to August 20, 2026. This site-based role requires full-time presence and is not eligible for remote work.

Interns will join the CMC Development organization to learn manufacturing process design for mRNA medicines and participate in teams developing platforms for clinical trials and licensure. Responsibilities include data analysis, experimental planning and reports, scale-up, technology transfer, and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Current student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering or a related field.
• Strong fundamental scientific and engineering skills for evaluating experimental data.
• Laboratory skills applicable to bioprocess development and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of experts to get up to speed on technology and techniques.
• Generate experimental results, perform data analysis, and document in formal reports with conclusions and next steps.
• Perform process scale-up, support technology transfer and provide manufacturing support at Moderna sites.
