Job summary

Moderna in Norwood, MA is seeking a Summer Intern within the CMC Development group to contribute to scale-up, tech transfer, and manufacturing support for mRNA medicines. The role is site-based and full-time, with on-site work from June 7, 2027 through August 20, 2026.

• Laboratory skills applicable to bioprocess development and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of experts to learn technology and techniques.
• Generate experimental results, analyze data, and document conclusions in reports.
• Perform process scale-up and support technology transfer at Moderna sites.
• Participate in planning, design, and analysis of experiments and risk assessments.
• Optimize formulation and processing conditions for mRNA drug products.
• Review literature and establish collaborations with internal groups.
• Create scaled-down models and high-throughput setups for unit operations.
• Characterize mRNA and lipid nanoparticles with the analytics team.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings in cross-functional meetings.
