Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. in Faribault, MN, is offering a Summer 2027 internship in manufacturing engineering.

Students pursuing engineering degrees will gain hands-on experience on the production floor, work with maintenance and engineering teams, and participate in a 12-week program May–August. You will troubleshoot equipment, help improve performance, assist with electrical drawings, and contribute to process improvements while earning a competitive pay rate of $23–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing at the time of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands‑on engineering work.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and spending time on the production floor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and electrical issues on the production floor.
• Help identify ways to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Support preventative maintenance activities and update maintenance records.
• Assist with electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Help identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend solutions.
• Support maintenance and engineering projects, including equipment upgrades and installations.
• Work with maintenance technicians and engineers to improve equipment safety, reliability, and efficiency.
