UW Interco, LLC in Louisville, KY (and Cincinnati, OH; Faribault, MN) offers a 12-week Summer 2027 internship program. Interns gain hands-on project experience, mentorship, and professional development across manufacturing, engineering, and process improvement.

The program runs May–August, with exposure to real projects, leadership events, and opportunities to contribute to operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Sophomore–Senior standing at time of internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.

Our team is hiring interns at our Cincinnati, OH, Faribault, MN and Louisville, KY locations for Summer 2027. These positions go from May-August (12-week program) and offer hands‑on project experience, professional development, and much more!

What You’ll Do

• Work alongside quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes, equipment, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support process improvement, equipment, tooling, and layout projects.
• Assist with time studies, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Help implement engineering solutions and see projects through to completion.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at a four year college or university in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing at the time of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands‑on engineering work.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and spending time on the production floor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.
