Job summary

WEC Energy Group is hiring an Intern in Financial and Regulatory Planning at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location for Summer 2027. The internship is full-time with an hourly rate of $21.30 and paid company holidays.

This role supports Financial Planning and Analysis and Regulatory Planning and Accounting, assisting with monthly and long-range forecasts, rate case filings, and data requests to help senior leaders make informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field with graduation after June 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and communication of the Company’s monthly and long-range financial forecasts.
• Assist in preparation and review of key metrics, rate case filings, and various one-off requests.
• Maintain and enhance the UI Forecasting model.
• Modify existing reports and calculations as needed to reflect changes in requirements and assumptions.
• Communicate forecast results to key stakeholders including senior leadership.
• Work with departments across the company to ensure data accuracy and validity of information.
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives.
• Position will apply knowledge of interrelationships in processes and utilize problem solving skills to recommend improvements.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, or closely related discipline with graduation date after June 2027
