Job summary

WEC Energy Group is seeking an Intern - Financial & Insurance Risk in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a Summer 2027 internship. The role supports the treasury's insurance and financial risk functions and offers hands-on experience within a Fortune 500 treasury.

Paid holidays are included and opportunities exist to learn from experienced team members. Ideal candidates are pursuing finance or business degrees with a minimum 2.8 GPA and are on track to graduate after June 2027.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or closely related degree with a graduation date after June 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.

Responsibilities

• Support Risk Manager and Risk Analyst in managing a sophisticated risk management department.
• Support the information collection and submittal process for insurance renewals.
• Participate in renewal meetings with brokers and insurance carriers.
• Review compliance with insurance provisions for state mandated programs.
• Participate in contract reviews to ensure appropriate insurance provisions are provided.
• Provide Certificates of Insurance and Self Insurance letters internally and externally.
• Monitoring Letters of Credits provided by Gas counterparties.
• Information gathering for quarterly credit memos.
• Other tasks as needed.
